Sunday 12/18 was travel day by from Osaka to Kochi, and by diesel train (all others we have taken were electric). However, the diesel train was powerful, and we went through mountain passes that were beautiful, plus a LOT of tunnels.
The speed was very fast, and it was hard to take pictures. At one point, we broke from the mountains to a view of this bay, complete with islands, beaches, big ships, and a ship-building yard.
